Sister Catey Stroud has been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She will be serving for 18 months in the Utah Salt Lake City mission. She reports to the MTC on July 8, 2009. I will be posting letters written from her here on this blog, so you can follow her as she embarks on this new chapter of her life. She will be missed. We love her and are so proud of her.

"A missionary is someone who leaves their family for a short time so others can be with their family for eternity."
All you have to do is contact me via phone or email. We schedule a photo shoot (usually on Saturdays). We figure out a place. If you don't already have a place in mind, I'm sure I can find one (I think nature shoots usually turn out the best, but that's just my opinion). We meet there. You do your thing. I shoot. It usually takes about 30 minutes - 1 hour (I like to take a lot of photos so that you can have a variety to choose from). You pay a $50.00 deposit (check or cash). I edit the pictures that turn out the best (usually black and white, as well as color). I then make a CD that contains all of the pictures plus the edited pictures. You pay the rest when you come to pick up the CD ($100 [check or cash]) and you have gorgeous photos to cherish forever. The process takes about 2-3 weeks from the time of the photo shoot.
Note: The photo shoot (including the C.D.'s containing all of the images) is $150. The C.D.'s include all of the images (including edited images) so that you can print them yourself at any time. Extra copies of the C.D.'s are available upon request for a $20.00 fee. If you have any questions about how to print them off, please let me know and I will be more than happy to walk you through the process.
My {View} on Life
I LOVE to capture the essence of what I'm photographing. By that I mean that I'm not too big on the "posed" photograph, although I will take some of those. I like to have fun, and I want my "photographees" to have fun too. Getting your picture taken shouldn't be a dread; it should be a fun experience. That's why when I do a photo shoot, I let my "photographee" take charge. You do whatever you want, and I capture it. If you want to pose a certain way, pose that way and I'll find a unique way to capture it. If you want to frolic down the street, by all means frolic down the street. I love angles, I love color, I love "uniqueness," and most of all I love having fun...
